Affordable Supportive Residences

Our Vision:  A 20/20 View

What is Affordable Supportive Housing?

Affordable supportive housing is a housing model designed to provide affordable rental units combined with supportive services for individuals and families facing challenges. This type of housing is intended to help our residents achieve and maintain stability, independence, and improved quality of life.

What are Key Features of our Residences?
1. Affordability

The housing is priced below market rates to ensure that low-income individuals and families can afford to live there.
2. Supportive Services

Our Residents have access to a range of supportive services tailored to their needs. These include case and benefits management, mental health counseling, job training, financial education, healthcare access, life skills training and much more.
The goal of these services is to help residents achieve greater self-sufficiency, manage health conditions, and maintain stable housing.
3. Permanent Housing

Unlike temporary shelters or transitional housing, affordable supportive housing is intended to be permanent. Residents live in these units for as long as they need, provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
This stability is crucial for individuals who need time and support to build up sustainable foundations.
4. Community Integration

Our supportive housing program is integrated into the community to further promote inclusion and expand the currency of supportive relationships around home. Networking integration  helps our residents feel more connected to their community and reduces isolation.

Why Do We Invest In It?
1. It reduces Homelessness by providing stable affordable housing with support services that help reduce chronic homelessness often linked to health and social challenges.
2. It Improves Health Outcomes. Residents of supportive housing often experience improved health outcomes because they have access to healthcare and live in a stable environment that supports their overall well-being.
3. Its more Cost-Effective than emergency services such as shelters, hospitals, or jails, which are often utilized by individuals without stable housing.

4. It Generates Independence. With on-site support, residents are better able to maintain independence, hold down jobs, and contribute to the community.
It's a holistaclly integrated component of efforts that create equitable communities by addressing both the housing needs and the underlying challenges that contribute to housing instability.
